I know I did, at first I thought it was some secret code I would never understand, but trust me you pick it up fast. Here are a few of the terms, and they may very a little depending on the person/site, but this should help get you through the just of it!

- RP – Red Plum Insert
- P&G – Procter & Gamble Insert
- GM – General Mills
- SC – Store Coupon
- WYB - When You Buy
- FAR - Free After Rebate
- OOP - Out of Pocket
- WFC – Weekly Flyer Coupon
- $1.50/2 – $1.50 off two items
- WAGS – Walgreens
- FF – Firefox
- IE- Internet Explorer
- Q - Coupon
- B1G1, BOGO, B1G1F: Buy 1, Get 1 Free
- B1G1 50%, BOGO 50% – Buy 1, Get 1 50% off
- Double Coupons- A coupons value is doubled at the register automatically at stores that double coupons. Example a 50 cent coupon will double to $1 unless the coupon states Do Not Double. Some stores will double coupons up to 50 cents in value.
- MFR - Manufacturer
- MQ/MC – Manufacturer coupon
- MIR - Mail-in Rebate
- OYNO - On your next order
- Peelie - Coupon that you peel off the package
- P&G/ PG - Proctor & Gamble Sunday newspaper insert coupons
- RC - Raincheck
- RP - Red Plum Sunday newspaper insert coupons
- RR – Register Rewards are Catalinas that print out at Walgreens and can be spent like cash in the store.
- Blinkies - a blinking box on a store display or shelf that dispenses coupons (usually red)
- Catalina – coupon dispensed at the register at the time of purchase. This prints separate from your receipt.
- SS - SmartSource Sunday newspaper insert coupons
- Stacking - Using one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon on one item for extra savings
- Store Coupon - a coupon offered by a specific store
- Tear Pad - Coupons or Refunds found on a display that you tear off
- WYB – When You Buy
- WSL - While Supplies Last
- YMMV – Your Mileage May Vary. Two of the same store may have different prices at each location or have different rules about coupons.
- $/$$ - Dollars off WYB a specified amount in dollars
- .50/1 – 50 cents off one item
- .50/3 - 50 cents off three items, requires purchase of three items
- UPC – Universal Product Code – Those black straight lines with numbers under them
- B2G1 - Buy Two, Get One Free
- DEAD - Offer No Longer Valid
- FILLER - Item Purchased to Reach a Minimum Total in Order to Get a “Deal”
- EX or X - Expires On
- GC - Gift Card
